The Guide’s partner Foundations intervene in our territories with interesting initiatives dedicated to europlanning. Let’s find out together.
Guide partners: europlanning near us
The Europlanning Guide relies on the input of relevant partners distributed in different regions of Italy. The project was conceived and promoted by CRT Foundation 2015. It was immediately joined by theACRI, Cariplo Foundation e CRC Foundation, followed by Caritro Foundation, Perugia Foundation, Cariverona Foundation, CR Florence Foundation e CR Bolzano Foundation.
The Europlanning Guide is a sign of the Partner Foundations’ commitment to promoting the values of the European Union and bringing the different areas of Italy closer to a unique source of opportunities and resources.
In parallel with the Guide, and using the Guide as a working and awareness-raising tool, the partner Foundations are intervening in their respective target areas with a number of interesting initiatives. Let’s find out together.
SfidEuropean challenges: a pathway to European funds
“SfidEuropean” is an initiative promoted by. Caritro Foundation, CR Bolzano Foundation, Cariverona Foundation and the CSV (Volunteer Service Centers) of Trentino, South Tyrol and Verona, Vicenza, Belluno and Treviso, dedicated to the cultural and social realities of the Third Sector in their respective territories of reference. In its latest edition, the project partnership was extended to Euregio+, PensPlanProfi and Banca Etica, with new accompanying and co-financing activities. The project aims to foster the growth of skills useful for participating in European calls for proposals, through a path divided into several stages:
- a cycle of training, dissemination and sharing meetings on how to approach and participate in European projects. The cycle includes online webinars and in-person networking events with experts, panel discussions and workshops;
- an individualized accompaniment course to deepen strategies and approaches and focus on one’s own project idea in light of the opportunities offered by European calls for proposals;
- the opportunity to participate in a call for the selection of project proposals with a European scope. The best proposals receive a grant to support the costs of europlanning and for participation in events and meetings necessary to consolidate the partnership and to document in preparation for the project submission;
- participants are also supported (with a financial contribution and expert support) in a crowdfunding campaign aimed at covering part of the project implementation costs.
The initiative benefits from the Guide to Europrojecting as an informative and training tool. We have already talked about it at various times, at the time of the launch of the different editions of the initiative, which has meanwhile consolidated itself as an opportunity to follow and not to be missed for those interested in embarking on a path towards europrojecting and putting themselves to the test (with due support) through a first project. For more: the Fondazione Caritro pages dedicated to Sfideuropee and the page of thelast edition of SfidEuropee (2024).
Resource Attraction: a service to develop of valuable projects
La Cuneo Savings Bank Foundation has been active for many years to complement concrete activities on the ground with the tools offered by our Guide (of which it is one of the founding partners). In fact, we have previously mentioned RisorsEuropa, an initiative that provided (in addition to the Guide’s information service) a call for co-financing of design costs, a space for direct co-financing of valuable EU projects, and free euro-design workshops, in-depth operational analysis on various issues and aimed at the successful formulation of project ideas.RisorsEuropa has evolved to become a full-fledged area of intervention of Fondazione CRC, called Resource Attraction. Resource Attraction aims to develop skills and opportunities for the implementation of socially beneficial projects for the growth and development of the province of Cuneo. It operates through a series of calls for proposals concerning European projects and everything generally pertaining to the area of projects. We point out in particular:
- a call for co-financing and a call for support for design costs for directly managed EU programs and European territorial cooperation programs;
- a call for co-financing and a call for support for planning expenses for calls, programs and initiatives funded by national and regional actors;
- A call for information, assistance and support for design costs for calls funded under the NRP..
All these calls are on an annual basis and are currently open until December 31.
CRC Foundation also promotes a European Design Academy to social impact for Third Sector Entities, carried out by the Center for Social Innovation Social Fare, and realizes a information newsletter On NRP opportunities.
Europlanning workshop, mentoring and tutoring
La Perugia Foundation has activated the Europlanning Atelier program, an initiative now in its third edition aimed at developing methodologies and tools for formulating and submitting project proposals on European calls for proposals. Here are the pages of the first, second and third editions. The program is a natural complement to the information provided by our Guide, which is widely taken up on the Foundation’s website. It provides public bodies and Third Sector organizations with expertise in the field of international planning, targeting mainly the sectors of education, education and training, volunteering and social inclusion, art and cultural heritage. The Atelier is set up not as a training course but as a space within which knowledge of European programs can be developed and fundable project ideas identified and defined. The Atelier offers tailor-made accompaniment paths, through mentoring, tutoring and technical-project assistance, to enable organizations to participate in a European call. The program includes presentation meetings, a selection of groups for seminars and mentoring and tutoring tracks (divided by thematic areas), and accompaniment of organizations in the implementation of projects, up to the submission of the application to access European funding.
Europe Desk: a guidance and accompaniment service on European funds
La CR Florence Foundation proposes Europe Desk, an orientation and accompaniment service for the resources made available by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and the European Programming 2021-2027.
The service provides ongoing updating and orientation support with respect to European calls and national measures that are opening or open. It is aimed at the grantees of the Foundation, with a special focus on the fields of art, cultural activities and heritage, volunteerism, philanthropy and charity, education, and training.
La reference page also offers a list of upcoming European and national calls for proposals, a direct link to our Guide and a link to interesting webinars organized by the Europe Desk service. We offer below a selection of them, taken from our page dedicated to webinars and audio and video resources.

Cariplo Foundation: Co-financing of European Projects and BEEurope
La Cariplo Foundation has been working in the area of European projects for years and has been a partner of our Guide since 2015. It has a tool dedicated to co-financing European projects in the environmental field, with several examples of successful projects over the past 12 years, particularly under the LIFE program. We devoted a lengthy article to Fondazione Cariplo’s experience of support and co-financing. Co-financing European Projects uses a variety of mechanisms: information and training activities on European instruments, accompaniment to project design through a mentoring service, and the possibility of accessing a share of co-financing. It accompanies the building of partnerships and European projects, playing a catalytic role for organizations active in the territory in the environmental field. As of 2017, Fondazione Cariplo also supports BEEurope (acronym for “Bet on European Energies”), a system of capacity-building tools implemented in partnership with Fondazione Triulza. BEEurope offers tools and services especially dedicated to the Third Sector and Civil Economy:
- Workshops on learning about calls for proposals and writing European projects, with a very practical focus (in-depth knowledge of specific funds, handling forms, etc.);
- Master’s degree in Europlanning to train professionals specialized in community planning and seeking funding dedicated to the Third Sector (here, by way of example, the reference page and the program of the 2024 edition);
Accompanying service for europlanning, with free support in research and identification of funding opportunities, subsidized cost support in project writing, and the possibility of continued support if the proposal is funded.
Guide to europlanning and projects on the ground
La CRT Foundation realizes as lead partner this Europlanning Guide., editing its contents and coordinating its partnership, as well as promoting it in local, national and European initiatives.
Fondazione CRT thus interprets, in very broad and systemic terms, its role as a “bridge” between territories and European funds. In fact, the Guide is open and addressed to all territories in Italy and proposes tools and keys of European interest.
The Guide is a dynamic and evolving tool, whose tools were revamped and deepened in the 2021 redesign and which is now open to new forms of support and intervention: webinars and online trainings (launched this year); podcasts (in preparation); new thematic sections and technical partnerships; roadshows for dissemination, training and in-depth analysis in the territories; and much more.
In addition, the CRT Foundation, together with OGR-TECH, a hub dedicated to innovation, business acceleration and applied research, is at the center of a number of important pilot initiatives in the field of European projects in specific high-impact and sustainable areas of interest, such as:
- NODES project. (Digital and Sustainable Northwest), aimed at creating a “sustainable innovation” ecosystem and financed through PNRR funds;
- is part of the consortium of one of the future EDIHs (European Digital Innovation Hubs), a select network of centers devoted to “digital acceleration” of SMEs;
- supports a counter and outreach activity aimed at the OGR-TECH community dedicated to researching calls and funding opportunities for innovative companies.
