These are particularly sizzling months on the European calls for proposals front. The month of June brought us a completely revamped Europrojecting Guide, but also many new calls for proposals-a clear sign that the new programming period has fully entered its operational phase, at least on the direct-management EU project front.
European calls for proposals: opportunities with Erasmus+
Two important calls under the Erasmus+ program are closing right now:
- European Youth Together (June 24), for parternships between European youth organizations;
- Capacity building in the youth sector (July 1), for strengthening organizations working with youth in Europe.
Erasmus+ offers us other opportunities that we will be able to explore and prepare for over the summer, regarding Key Action 2 (Cooperation between organizations and institutions):
- Erasmus Teacher Academies (Sept. 7), for partnerships to form academies that specialize in training teachers and trainers from a European and international perspective;
- Centers of professional excellence (Sept. 7), to support the development of European platforms of centers of vocational excellence focused on the role of vocational education and training in specific sectors or to address common challenges;
- Alliances for sectoral cooperation on skills (Sept. 7), for cooperation among education, training, business and research entities on new strategic approaches and solutions for skills development in selected sectoral or cross-sectoral areas;
- Alliances for education and business (Sept. 7), to bring together businesses and providers of higher education and vocational training to promote new, innovative and multidisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning.

European calls for proposals: opportunities in the area of justice and rights
We have exciting new opportunities in this important area, in several specific sub-areas:
- Justice: Protecting the Rights of Persons Suspected or Accused of Crime and Victims of Crime (Sept. 9), for grants for transnational projects in this area ;
- European Solidarity Corps: Seal of Quality for Humanitarian Aid Volunteering – with possibility of simplified procedure (Sept. 22), which certifies that an organization is in line with the principles, objectives and requirements of the “European Voluntary Humanitarian Aid Corps” (a requirement for participation in the action);
- Citizenship, equality, rights and values: various calls available, particularly in the context of the promotion of children’s rights (September 7), of the town twinning (August 26) and the networks of cities (August 26).

- Pan-European cultural entities (Aug. 26), for training, professionalization and performance for orchestras with young artists from at least 20 countries

- Partnerships in the field of journalism (Aug. 26), for the exchange, innovation and development of solutions among professionals in the field
- European collaborative projects in the cultural and creative sector, on a small scale , medium scale , large scale (September 7)
- European platforms for the promotion of emerging artists (Sept. 29)
- Creative innovation lab (Oct. 5), to test and boost innovative digital solutions in the cultural and creative sectors
And other even more specific calls for the audiovisual and media sector.
